Ms. Rynhoud was born in New York.  She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Florida in 1987.  Her first job was teaching English in Japan.  After teaching in Japan she travelled through Russia and Europe where she met her husband, Paul.  Paul is from South Africa and they have visited there many times. Ms. Rynhoud studied General Education at Dominican University in San Rafael and at Cal State East Bay where she received her Multiple Subjects California Teaching Credential in 2013, a Special Education Teaching Credential in 2014, and a Masters Degree in Educational Technology.  Ms. Rynhoud has four wonderful boys ages 15, 17, 20, and 22. She has worked as a volunteer in all her son's classrooms, as well as a Special Education Paraeducator at her local High School, and as a Special Education Teacher in San Raphael, in Berkeley High, and here at Montera.  As you can probably tell she loves teaching and is happy to be working will such a great group of students this year!
